The Role of GlaxoSmithKline & The GlaxoSmithKline Foundation

In partnership with the Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association, The GlaxoSmithKline Foundation is working to create a public and policy environment that recognizes and supports end-of-life care as an integral component of Canada's healthcare system, in addition to continuing the commitment to build awareness and support for the hospice palliative care movement in Canada. Living Lessons®, a strategic, long-term campaign is helping to establish hospice palliative care as a core health care service; this will result in improved outcomes for those facing life-threatening illnesses and their loved ones.

GlaxoSmithKline Inc. continues to provide financial grants and project management resources to support the offerings of the Living Lessons® program. Since the program's inception in 1998, The GlaxoSmithKline Foundation has made significant investments through donations of cash and in-kind services in the development of the Living Lessons® national public awareness campaign. Currently, The GlaxoSmithKline Foundation continues to provide the resources to support the publication and distribution of program materials and to effect change in public policy.
